_Responsibilities:_ * Maintains patient telemetry records. Accurately evaluates, analyzes, and posts rhythm strips every 4 hours and with rhythm changes. Notifies Charge Nurse appropriately and in a timely manner ectopy, rhythm changes. * Respects and supports patient rights while practicing principles of patient and employee confidentiality. * Recognizes ethical dilemmas, utilizes available resources, and seeks assistance in dealing with them. * Practices and promotes infection control measures and body mechanics. * Assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. * Performs clerical duties * Maintains patient/unit records * Competently and consistently completes accurate, concise, and legible documentation on all patient, unit, and Hospital records. * Supports/participates in unit-based continuous quality improvement activities. * Functions as an interdependent and supportive team member. * Assists in maintaining a positive learning environment. * Exchanges constructive feedback with peers. * Assumes responsibility for remaining current on job-related knowledge and skills and ongoing education/inservice/credentialing/certification/licensure requirements. * Telephone and call lights answered promptly with dissemination of information to appropriate personnel in a professional and courteous manner. * Requests supplies to be ordered. * Performs related duties as required/assigned. * Adheres to and complies with HCA's Code of Conduct as part of the Ethics and Compliance Program. Attends annual training sessions.
_Qualifications:_ * One year of expereince as a Monitor Tech preferred. * Unit Secretary experience preferred. * EKG and BLS certification required.
