Baylor Scott & White Health Search & Workup Coordinator Marrow Donor Program Temple Job in Temple, Texas

The Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH) Search and Workup Coordinator is responsible for the facilitation and management of all activities associated with unrelated bone marrow donor and/or stem cell donor collections at all levels of donor matching from initial preliminary matching to work-up including follow ups after the donation and completing required documentation for compliance support.

Our Search and Workup Coordinator manages the search activities for donors identified as possible matches including locating and educating the registry member about the key elements of marrow and stem cell donation. Performs detailed health history questionnaires to assess donor suitability and eligibility by setting up appointments for laboratory draws, facilitating shipments of blood products for testing, and reporting infectious disease results to Be The Match. In addition, the Workup Coordinator serves as a liaison between the donor, the NMDP and transplant center. Verifies accuracy and completeness of the donor forms required by the CIBMTR or the NMDP

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people to discuss sensitive information dealing with people who are experiencing major life decisions.
