Epic Piping Material Issuing Clerk in San Marcos, Texas

POSITION SUMMARY

Clerical position consisting of data entry, verifying accuracy of materials information on spools sheets & items entered into computer system, addressing spool drawing or material issues with other departments, maintain filing system, copying, scanning.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Maintain filing system

  • Check/update weight and surface area fields on spools sheets

  • Input material line items into JDE system

  • Verify spools in office vs. in JDE

  • Copy spools for distribution

  • Enter Bill of Material in to system

  • Confirm accuracy of material information on spools drawings

  • Issue Work orders when required

  • Release spools to production when all material line items are available

  • Update statuses in JDE as needed

  • Address engineering issues

  • Requisition material shorts/get backs

  • Requisition material shorts as needed

  • Assist with material reconciliations at job closeouts\

  • Address material shorts daily

  • Track material shorts

  • Manage get backs/revisions/holds

  • Update statuses pertaining to spools as needed

  • Move materials to job locations after stock checks and pre-bill checks

  • Make inventory adjustments or scrap material

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience: 2-3 years of experience in pipe fabrication field

Computer Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office and Edwards

Certifications & Licenses:

Other Requirements: Knowledge of piping materials (visual and descriptions)
