Responsible for providing high-level, cross-functional student support in the areas of student conduct, academic integrity, and community engagement.
Responsible for providing high-level, cross-functional student support in the areas of student conduct, academic integrity, prevention programming and community engagement.
Assist with the planning, coordinating, programming and administering of services that help students engage and understand their role in the University community.
Assist with the development of mechanisms to enhance student knowledge of the conduct process, opportunities for engagement in service programs, and their responsibilities as members of the TAMIU community to promote academic integrity.
Assist in data collection, assessment, data-entry into the Student Information System, Maxient, and other technology used by department in order to track and report on student engagement and persistence.
Assist in developing, planning, and implementing community service projects as a means of increasing student engagement through service and knowledge acquisition. Work with administrative staff to expand community relations and service opportunities for students, including recruiting, hiring and supervising community work-study students.
Responsible for maintaining, updating, and distributing accurate program information via web pages, Facebook pages, Clink, Twitter Feeds, Instagram, etc.
Provide administrative and clerical support to ensure the efficient operation of the department.
Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, System policies, and University rules.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Two or more years experience in student services, student conduct, leadership development, advising, retention, or other related areas.
Additional relevant education may replace experience requirement.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong computer knowledge. Must possess strong time management skills
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Ability to interact effectively and professionally with the general public and the students served. Ability to plan, organize, assess, and perform tasks accurately and independently. Ability to make effective presentations to students, family members, and institutional
and academic personnel. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Registrations, Certifications, and Licenses:
- Must possess a valid Driver's license.
Position requires occasional travel locally and throughout Texas.
Position requires evening and/or weekend hours, as necessary.
