To succeed in this role, you will need to plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. Candidate must lead with integrity and reliability and have the ability to manage self and others with urgency, practicality and accountability when providing client services. The Controller will be a full-time employment opportunity and will be located in the Laporte, Texas region. Key responsibilities - Reviews deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations - Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals - Work closely with executive team and partners to facilitate efficient and effective firm-wide operation - Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the yearly budget and forecasts - Advance Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementation - Manage the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is on time - Guide all operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, billings collections, and payroll - Give financial reports to executive committee and partners each month - Flexible in completing tasks beyond formal job responsibilities - Responsible for month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations G/L analysis - Assess, execute and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies To learn more about this role, please e-mail your resume directly to firstname.lastname@example.org.
