Job Description

Receiving Clerk-Irving, Texas

Responsible for receiving, pulling, stocking, cycle counts, inventory accuracy, forklift operation and maintenance, and warehouse organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Logging receipts as delivered

  • Process items received (receiving and issuing allocations) using QAD or current software

  • Accurately count items received to minimize stock issues

  • Resolve issues with incoming goods discrepancies with Purchasing or Finance as required

  • Log incoming packages for personnel. Communicate with recipient to ensure timely delivery

  • Maintain acceptable levels of warehouse supplies

  • Pull and issue material for work orders, distribution orders, allocations, and sales orders.

  • Utilize scales for weigh counts and weights

  • Stock materials, including use of forklift

  • Forklift maintenance and operation

  • Warehouse organization

  • Generate, perform, and reconcile cycle counts

  • Perform physical inventory, including reconciliation

  • Perform data entry and clerical duties

  • Follow all safety rules

  • Support ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 activities and seek continued improvement of procedures and practices that reduce costs, while maintaining or enhancing customer satisfaction, quality, and service

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ Receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of personal computer systems and programs

  • Forklift certification is desired

  • Good interpersonal skills, must be able to effectively communicate with the wide range of personnel.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Attention to detail

  • Team player

  • Knowledge of handling and packing practices for electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical materials, such (printed circuit boards, cables, ICs) and fragile materials
