Perry Homes is seeking an Open Order Clerk to join our team at our Corporate Office located near Hobby Airport! Since 1967, we have built homes for over 50,000 families and we are still growing. In 2015, we were named Builder of the Year by the Greater Houston Builders Association for the third time over the company s history. Summary of Position Opens new orders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Open orders for new earnest money contracts, lot purchases and construction panels. Order property tax certificates. Type and send Closer s Order Summary to closing offices. Print labels. Track subdivision information on Excel spreadsheet. Check mail. Perform customer service duties as required. Track files on SoftPro system. Assist with proof reading, copying, mailing and boxing for permanent storage. Copy, scan, email and mail documents. Lift and arranges boxes (30-50 lbs) containing files. From time to time must complete projects with short notice in extreme time constraints. Other duties as assigned by manager. Comply with all company policies and procedures including those set forth in writing in the Employee Handbook and elsewhere. Maintain level of decorum and professionalism expected of all company employees. Supervisory Responsibilities No supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. 1-2 years of clerical experience preferred. Ability to build and maintain relationships and communicate with others effectively, both orally and in writing, in a professional and competent manner. Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel and Word. The ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, fractions and decimals, to compute percentages, and to perform basic algebra and geometry. Demonstrated organization and time management, which includes the ability to multi-task and run multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining thoroughness and precision. A team-oriented, proactive and adaptable work ethic.
