Days / Hours : Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Pay : $1, 612.51 month Campus: Cleburne Department: Community & Workforce Education JOB SUMMARY: Provides clerical and administrative support to the respective department and supervisor. MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION: * Requires you to have 2 years experience as a Secretaries, Except Legal, Medical, and Executive with a High School Diploma/GED. Associate's Degree preferred. * Speak, read and write good English. * Work experience in higher education, customer service, program development, medical support, and/or continuing education preferred. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS : * Performs general administrative support tasks including coordinating appointments, answering the phone and directing calls to the appropriate resource, typing correspondence, ordering supplies, and greeting visitors, faculty, staff and students. *Assists in managing and coordinating the administrative functions within the assigned department. *Advises and registers students into Community & Workforce Education classes. * Performs instructional support and class record processes. * Assists in providing administrative support to other departments within the instructional division as needed. * Facilitates the new-hire paperwork process. * Provides orientation and assistance to instructors regarding Hill College policy and procedures. * Processes departmental paperwork as needed. * Submits work orders for the assigned department. * Assists with the coordination of syllabi, office hours, textbooks and other departmental projects. * Works with other Hill College support offices, such as the Business Office and Financial Aid, to facilitate the student registration processes. * Works closely with Hill College Staff to prepare a published schedule of classes each semester. Works with Information Technology to update changes online. * Assists in assembling and maintaining requirements of Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, and other approving agencies. * Assists in processing all purchase requisitions for Faculty Professional Development travel. * Assists in compiling information for audits, evaluations, and budgets, using resources available. OTHER INFORMATION: * Assists in setting up meetings and/or coordinating facilities for off-campus operations. * Participates on college workgroups as assigned. * Some travel within the service area required. * May assist with special events. * Security sensitive position. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : * Sedentary work; exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Involves sitting most of the time. * Walking and standing are required occasionally. COMPUTER SKILLS : Email, Internet, Peripheral Devices, Personal Computers, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
